Looking Forward to a New Year!

It's a New Year's Eve tradition to set goals and make resolutions for the coming year. I have made my Wildfire goals for 2010, and I'd like to share them with you.

10. Change the Wildfire menu twice a year. There will be new additions and updating of some existing dishes. Whenever there is change, it can be controversial. We know you don't want to see anything happen to your personal Wildfire favorites!

9. Continue our 'green' pursuit of supporting local business and carrying as much produce as possible from local farmers.

8. More contests. The soup contest we ran a few months ago was so enjoyable that I'd like to do it again with a different item or two. Details coming in the near future...

7. Search for more sustainable fish to run as new and creative specials.

6. Work toward using the healthiest ingredients while keeping the food fun, creative, fresh and a great value.

5. Bring an engaging message to my blog readers by talking about interesting and hot topics and possibly bringing in guest bloggers who are experts in their fields.

4. Write a cookbook featuring recipes from Wildfire. I've always wanted to, but never had the time to pursue it. I'm thinking this will be the year.

3. Introduce our fun and delicious brunch menu that we currently run at our Tysons location to the other 7 locations.

2. Add choices and variety to our growing gluten free menu. It has been truly heartwarming to see how this has affected our clientele with celiac disease. We want to continue to develop and expand the gluten free menu.

1. Keep Wildfire exciting, enjoyable, friendly, and a very comfortable place to visit. During these tough economical times, we appreciate every visit and want to be your home away from home. Thank you to everyone who voted Wildfire as 'Most Popular Restaurant in Chicago' in this year's Zagat guide for the second year in a row! We are truly grateful!
