Planning a Romantic Celebration

This blog is dedicated to getting it right for Valentine’s Day.

Now, the television commercials would have you believe that if you “got it at Jared’s”, you’re all set. But what’s a great piece of jewelry without a romantic dinner?

Guys, this is your chance to flex your creative and culinary muscles. Of course, my preference is that everyone celebrates with the Valentine’s Day Dinner for Two Menu at Wildfire! But, if for some reason you can’t make it to Wildfire, it’s always a great option to plan a quiet romantic dinner at home.

Now, this is a win/win for both of you. You get to create something delicious and your significant other gets to enjoy it. If you have a love of food, the time and the patience, make it something really special.

Plan the evening smart…be organized. Set a great romantic mood with flowers, candles and soft music. Pick a great wine to pair with the meal you create. Buy the best quality food you can, but keep the meal simple and elegant. Prepare as much ahead of time as you can so you can actually enjoy the evening too. Keep the kitchen clean as you work. And mostly, take pride in what you make, and enjoy your creation!

Not sure what to make? How about a couple of steamed or grilled lobster tails and pasta with fresh basil, parmesan and olive oil? Or a couple of broiled steaks and baked potatoes? Simple and easy, but definitely a treat!

Dessert is a must! My recommendation is chocolate anything. Another great option is this recipe for Red Velvet Cake.

Or…just come to Wildfire for Valentine’s Day! We will have wonderful menus, wine and service. All you need to do is make the reservation and enjoy the evening!

Whatever your plans are for Valentine’s Day, enjoy it with the ones you love!
