What's on Tap? Beer Dinners!

If you are in need of a cold brew or simply wish to experience beer and food pairings at their full potential, check out one of our upcoming Wildfire beer dinners in August!

After the huge success of our Retro beer dinner at Wildfire Oakbrook this past June, we are pleased to be hosting another Retro beer dinner at Wildfire Chicago on Thursday, August 11 featuring the beers of Pabst Blue Ribbon, Old Style, McSorely’s Black Lager, Stroh’s and Schlitz. Some of the pairings that are my personal favorites are the mini bison patty melts served with Pabst Blue Ribbon and the pan fried chicken schnitzel with cheddar potato pancakes paired with Schlitz. Having said that, the best course for this event may be the homemade chocolate peanut butter cupcakes paired with the McSorely’s Black Lager. Our very own Matt Peota’s, Wildfire Oakbrook manager, mother Cherie makes these delectable treats  in her own home and let me tell you, they are the best cupcakes I’ve ever had! Goose Island was very well received a few weeks ago on a very hot and humid night in Wildfire Lincolnshire! The same beer dinner will be held at Wildfire Chicago on Tuesday, August 23. I'm hoping the weather will be more favorable! A few courses sure to tantalize your taste buds are the Belgian style ale braised mussels with oyster sauce on garlic crostini paired with Goose Island Matilda and the grilled rib eye steak skewers with smoke Yukon gold potato mash and roasted vegetable served with the Goose Island Pepe Nero. Trust me, you will want to savor every morsel from both of these courses! 

The final Wildfire beer dinner for August is with Lagunitas Brewing Company at Wildfire Schaumburg on Wednesday, August 24! With Karen Hamilton (sister to the owner of Lagunitas) as the guest speaker and the Columbia River sturgeon en croute with shrimp and crab crust paired with the Lagunitas New Dogtown Pale Ale as one of the main courses, this event promises to be a night to remember!
